Mrs. Sonal Singh is Assistant Director at Mahayogi Guru Sri Gorakshnath Shodhpeeth, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, India. She holds an Āchārya in Buddhist Philosophy, with postgraduate degrees in Sanskrit and Pali, and has specialized in Buddhist thought, Pali–Prakrit literature, and translation (Hindi–Sanskrit). Her doctoral research is titled “The Concept of Maitreya Buddha in Philosophical and Educational Perspective: A Study.”
She has published extensively in UGC-CARE-listed and reputed journals, including contributions to Pali Prakrit Anusilanam, Jahnavi Sanskrit E-Journal, and edited research volumes on Buddhist philosophy. Her works explore themes such as Mettasutta and Maitri, Sāsanavaṃsa, Ālayavijñāna in a Buddhist context, and the role of karma in Buddhist philosophy. She has also contributed research papers on applied aspects of Pali–Prakrit literature, the modern relevance of Buddhist thought, and the intersection of yoga, ecology, and ethics.
Her academic interests include Buddhist philosophy, Pali–Prakrit studies, Nath Sampradāya traditions, translation studies, and the socio-philosophical role of women in preserving Indian cultural heritage. She has actively presented papers at national and international conferences and continues to engage in interdisciplinary research linking Buddhism, ecology, and education.
